Fifth & Sixth Grade Crafts
Vermont craftswoman, Mrs. Joannie Fadden, came to our
class on October 28, 2005 to give lesson in basket
weaving. This skill coincides with what the students
are learning in French class as well as in Social
Studies. This skill began when the early settlers
needed storage bins for gathered food.
The fifth graders are being taught jewelry making with
beads by Mrs. Rosa Flores. We
are making beaded necklaces for sale. Our profits
will be used to pay for class field trips during the
year.
